20% Project

Reflection This week I started to do some more tutorials to learn some more advanced things. The certification only goes over the basics, and to actually apply this knowledge you need to learn more. The tutorial I decided to go with was one that focuses on transitions. This is because they are really important to editing and I felt that what I learned through gmetrix was not much. Compared to gmetrix the tutorial uses actual application of transitions and is the up-to-date version of premier pro Success This week I did not run into any problems with the tutorial I did. I went through all the steps and would say I could do most of them expect for some of the more advanced stuff. Even though gmetrix is an older version of premier pro a lot of the same stuff still applies the new version just looks better. Reflection This week I took my certification test and I passed it. I got an 821 and the needed score to pass is 700. I thought this was the easiest adobe certification out of the 3 others I have taken and that surprised me. It surprised me because learning the program was probably harder than the other 3 but that may just be me.  Success Passing the certification was the biggest success yet of the 20 percent project for me. It is something that I can show and prove that I actually did learn the program. Also I had a good score and did not fail any sections which is the first time I didn't fail any sections. Problems/Obstacles Thankfully I ran into no problems or obstacles when taking the test. Reflection This week I finished the second testing out of the three for gmetrix. I finished it with a 925 and since I got a 950 on the first one from last week that means I am ready to take the certification test. I think I will be taking it next Friday. Compared to the first test this one only took the one try and I got it all done in class. So that shows me that since i'm taking these a week apart I actually learned them and not just memorized the answers.  Success I would call this week the most success week so far. I passed the second test easily the first time so i'm sure that i've learned the program. I feel that I had a good understanding and none of the questions really caught be off guard and I knew how to do majority of them Obstacles/Problems I did not really run into any problems expect for the 3 question I got wrong. Reflection This week I completed Test 1 and got a 950. This means that I need to get 1 more 900+ on a test and I will be able to take the certification. I believe that next week I will pass the second test and be able to certification. After I complete the second test I will try to take the certification as soon as possible, but I am not sure when that will be. In terms of passing the certification I think I will get around an 800 and pass it fairly easily.  Success This week I would say is my most successful week yet since I passed the test with only missing 2 questions. With only 2 wrong I would say I had a lot of success. Since I had to take the test twice by the second time I felt really confident before I even hit submit feeling like I would pass.  Obstacles/Problems This week I did have to take the test twice since I got a 875 and really just wanted to pass and not wait a week and potential forgot stuff. Reflection This week basically consisted of me trying to get used to using premier pro against since it has been like 3 weeks. This was unsurprising to me so I decided to do another training instead of trying to test again and most likely fail. This proved to be a good idea since I did have to use more hints than before but by the end I felt like I remembered most of what I needed to. So going forward I think I am in fine in terms of meeting a deadline for getting my certification. Success I was pretty successful going through the training test with the further going in the more I started remember. By the end I felt like I could go back through and get majority of the questions right without hints. Obstacles/Problems I did not run into any notable issues this week other than the odd question that took my a few tries. Reflection This week I did my first test for gmetrix and scored an 800 (80%). Considering that on most first test I get a 600-700 and this is a week after all the trainings, I could call that a very good score. Also while doing it I felt like I was going to get a 500-600 but looking back and after doing the review it was fairly easy.  Success With my 800 on my first tests I would call that a good success. Going forward I am very confident that I will be able to certify based on how the trainings and now the first testing went. Like I said on the first tests the usually are 600-700 and go up from their after the second or third test, so I think it will take me 1 or 2 more tests before I get 900. This being considered I think that it will take me the next 2-4 work days to complete the gmetrix side of certifying. After doing all of those I plan on taking the certification as soon as possible.
